CRG Discipleship Program
Introduction to the CRG Discipleship Program
-
The primary goal of a disciple of Jesus is to cultivate a lifelong close and conversational relationship with God—as their loving Father, trusted Friend, and sovereign King—while inviting and guiding others into the same transformative journey.
-
Jesus cared for the masses, but He spent the majority of His time with His disciples, equipping them to continue His mission. This focused, relational approach fostered trust, growth, and massive multiplication. At CRG, we aim to empower leaders to disciple others in the same way Jesus did.
-
Discipleship is a holistic, coordinated effort to help individuals obey everything Jesus commanded. It includes broad teaching (one to many) and focused disciple making (one to few). Every interaction in a ministry setting should lift up the Lordship of Christ, calling people to joyful, ongoing, and wholehearted surrender. While teaching reaches the many, disciple making reaches the few—those who respond and are ready to grow deeper. This one-to-few journey uniquely provides:
Practical skills for walking with God in every season of life
Consistent, two-way communication with God throughout the day
Discernment to apply Scripture wisely and faithfully
Spirit-led problem solving rooted in truth and love
Encouragement and accountability within trusted relationships
-
Disciple making is God’s intentional method for forming wholehearted followers of Jesus who walk closely with Him and help others do the same. Modeled after Jesus’ approach, it happens through authentic relationships that mentor, model, and mobilize others to live a life led by the Spirit and grounded in love and truth.
